It’s another fight of the year as Welter titleholder Adrien Broner has followed the footstep of what he called as his “big brother” Floyd Mayweather to become the next future pound-for-pound king.
Broner believes that his way on the next line which is his first 147 pound title defense will be serious blow to his career if he loses to a showdown with a dangerous fighter Marcos Maidana. The fight was finalized this month and Broner vs. Maidana tickets are already selling ahead of schedule.
The fight is already been discussed and are loaded with undercards that includes the return of Victor Oriz. The said fight will be scheduled this coming Dec. 14 at the San Antonio Alamodome Texas brought to you by Golden Boy Promotions.
According to Shaefer, this fight will be one of the best fights in the world of boxing.
“This is one of the best fights you can make in boxing. It’s a fight we were asked about about time and again by media and fans,” Schaefer said.
According to sources, Maidana is Broner’s mandatory challenger, and is one of those matches that will test both fighters with Broner being skillful with speed and Maidana who is an aggressive puncher.
Maidana with an impressive (34-3, 31 KOs), aged 30 who hail from Argentina has won three fights in a row since 2012. But lostin 2012 to Devon Alexander.
Broner also told to ESPN.com that Maidana is one hell of a fighter and it will be a challenge to him.
“Maidana is a hell of a fighter. He will come to fight but, at the end of the day, this is my breaking point into taking over boxing and I will not let this guy kill my vibe,” Broner told ESPN.com.
